Who We Are

The Eng Peng group of companies started as a family owned layer farmer in the 1980’s. It has steadily expanded over the past twenty years, through organic growths, acquisitions & diversifications, to become one of the major suppliers of poultry products and frozen food in Sabah. There are now more than twenty companies under the umbrella of Eng Peng group.

Eng Peng is currently the largest vertically integrated poultry producer in Sabah. That means we are involved in the entire production process from breeding, hatching all the way to our customers’ door step, allowing us to have better control over products quality and supply stability.

Commitment to Food Safety

Food safety is paramount to our business. We are committed to maintaining and continuously improving our product quality and food safety standards.

Our Quality Management Team implements and monitors a Quality Assurance (QA) program in accordance to regulatory guidelines from the Sabah Department of Veterinary Services & Animal Industry (JPHPT) and the Sabah State Health Department. We maintain a sampling program which takes regularly samples throughout our entire value chain from our farms to processing facilities and delivery vehicles to ensure the bacteria control measures in place are effective.

Our quality management system is designed and implemented in line with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards. We are also certified under the Food Safety 1Malaysia Scheme or better known as Skim Keselamatan 1Malaysia (SK1M).

Halal Commitment

Eng Peng, as one of the biggest suppliers of poultry products in Sabah, realises that Halal assurance for our products is a most important pillar in producing high quality products that are safe and healthy for consumption for all our customers

We take our Halal compliance very seriously and our production personnel from slaughterers to managers are equipped with appropriate training and are properly certified where necessary.

Just as there are QC’s (Quality Controllers) at critical control points (CCP) of the production process to ensure the quality of our products are maintained, there are also Halal checkers at critical points of the production process to ensure Halal compliance.

Our facilities are certified Halal by JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) and are regularly inspected by officers from the Sabah Islamic Council (Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah).
